Sunset! My heart feels pleasant and gets filled with pleasure when I see the tremendous view sitting alone at a very silent and peaceful place. “Wow! How can something be so beautiful?”, my soul questions my heart. “Don’t question, keep enjoying gazing at it.”, my heart replies. The heavenly look makes me feel lost in some other world; other than this one.
As a child, I was aware that the sun rises once and sets only once a day. It is probably right. But I found myself very wrong one day. “Wrong…?”, you’d say. Well, yes. Wrong.
It was a fine sunny day in the summer. I was travelling somewhere in my car on the hills reading a fine book. I was lost in the characters of the story. Neither I knew where I reached nor what time it was.
Suddenly, something caught my attention. I quickly looked outside the window. A herd of beautiful white swans flew in the sky. “Beautiful…!”, my mouth uttered without my mind knowing. After staring them for a minute or two, I realized it was the time the yellowish orange sun was about to hide behind the hills. My car was moving slowly down the hills. I was continuously gazing at the sun till the hills didn’t let me see it. Finally, I could see no sun. Yet what I could see was the orange and yellow clouds in the sky.
I started enjoying the nature putting my hand on the window and my head over it watching the green forest on the hills with an unknown smile on my face. My car started climbing up the hills again following the road.
“Whoa…! What?”, I screamed in my mind. What I saw amazed me like never before. As I climbed up the hills, I could see the sun coming out. It looked just as the sunrise. I could see the sun again. It was an overwhelming experience. My eyes started following the sun again. When the car again went downhills, I once again got a beautiful chance to enjoy the sunset.
For the first time, I saw the sunset twice a day. My mind now was full of different thoughts and queries. I was stunned.
“Did the sun set twice today?”, “Isn’t it true that sun sets only once in a day?”. Such questions started bothering me.
Neither was the fact false that the sun sets once a day nor was my view wrong about the sunset. I could see the sunset twice because I saw it from the different view angles at different places.
After I saw the sunset for the second time, it was over for me. But possibly, a man sitting on the window seat in an aeroplane flying above the sky at the same time had seen the sunset moments after I did.
I can relate the sunset with life. It’s just about views and opinions of different people who come from different places at different time. People are different, their perspectives are different but everyone’s here to live a happy life. We’re right doesn’t mean the other one is wrong. We’re fast doesn’t mean the other one is late.
Let’s respect each other’s perspective. Let’s live a happy life together.
What else I want in my life... I want to be a doctor. A doctor who saves lives of people who are victims of rape like activities. I want to be a social worker who works for old people who are thrown away by their own children. I also want to be a veterinarian who saves the lives of the street animals who are abused by the locals. I want to be the roamer who helps all the poor beggars seen around lying on the streets.
I know it very well that I cannot fulfill all my dreams because I just have a limited life span. I want to help all the needy people around because, when I see a rape victim, I feel like I'm done with the world. There's nothing to see worst than it in the world. When I see people expelled by their own blood just because they are old, I feel like crying on the cemetery of the word like love. When I see the abused and speechless street animals, I feel like cursing god for not giving them a voice that they can raise. When I see the beggars around on the streets, I feel like giving all I have.
What else I want in my life... I want to be a human. A human who is educated enough to respect a woman. A human who has enough understanding to understand the love of parents. A human who understands that the lives of animals are equally important. A human who is smart enough to teach a beggar a way to life.
Lets start being human.
Who is a Father? Who is a father? A father is the man who taught you every single thing you were confused with in your life. A father is the only person who is always ready to sacrifice all his happiness to make you happy. He is the only man with a golden heart who can give you the unconditional love and affection.
Who is a Father? The man who finds all his happiness in your smile is a Father. The man who is always ready to fulfil your dreams whatever it may cost, is a father. Even filled with all the family problems, the man who is always ready to take all your problems on his head, is a father.
Who is a father? Maybe you like it or not, but for the shake of your happy and prosperous life, the man who scolds you for every single mistake you make, is a father. You don't have that powerful vision that could help you identify the unconditional love in a father's scolding.
Who is a father? Whenever you ask for something, even if it is unaffordable, the man who gets it for you by hook or by crook is a father. The man who always tries his best to give you the best is a Father. You may not be able to see the love, the affection and the kindness of your father. You should be thankful that the god himself is with you in the form of your father. Once, just once, think about those people who don't have a father, think about them who haven't ever seen their father in their life. Their life can never be easy like yours. If you can, love your father many times more than he does. But if you can't, never hurt him.
